George Bampinas is an Assistant Professor in Econometrics at the Department of Economic and Regional Development, Panteion University. He earned his PhD in Econometrics at the University of Macedonia. He graduated from Aristotle University, where he completed his studies in Economics and holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Macedonia. He has worked at the Hellenic Ministry of Finance and at the Independent Authority of Public Revenues. He has taught as an academic scholar at the University of Macedonia and to postgraduate programs. His main research interests lie in the areas of Applied Econometrics (time series analysis, portfolio analysis, risk modeling, futures pricing) and Empirical Macroeconomics (inflation dynamics, macro-financial linkages). He has published a broad number of papers in peer reviewed journals.
