Πτυχιούχος του Τμήματος Οργάνωσης και Διοίκησης Επιχειρήσεων του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, έχει μετεκπαιδευτεί στην Οικονομική Ανάπτυξη στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Salford, U.K. (M.Sc.) και είναι διδάκτωρ Γεωγραφίας του Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου. Έχει διδάξει στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου, το Πανεπιστήμιο Στερεάς Ελλάδας και το Ελληνικό Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο. Είναι Σύμβουλος Καθηγητής στην Θ.Ε. «Θεωρία Επιχειρηματικότητας και Καινοτομίας» του Προγράμματος Σπουδών Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων και Οργανισμών του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου. Έχει δημοσιεύσει σειρά επιστημονικών άρθρων σε διεθνή περιοδικά όπως το International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, Studies in Regional and Urban Planning, World Review of Entrepreneurship Management and Sustainable Development, The International Journal of Sustainable Development and World Ecology και το Journal of Regional and Socio-Economic Issues. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε έναν μεγάλο αριθμό αναπτυξιακών μελετών, εμπειρογνωμοσύνων, αξιολογήσεων και ερευνητικών έργων.
