Dimitrios Ierapetritis is a member of Laboratory and Teaching Staff at the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Department of Economic and Regional Development with the discipline of “Local Development and Local Entrepreneurship”. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, an M.Sc. degree in Economic Development from the University of Salford, U.K. and a Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Geography from the University of the Aegean. He has also taught at the University of Peloponnese, the University of Central Greece and the Hellenic Open University. His research interests include local entrepreneurship and employment, local and endogenous development, economic geography and evaluation of regional programmes. He has published research articles in international scientific journals such as the International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, Studies in Regional and Urban Planning, World Review of Entrepreneurship Management and Sustainable Development, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, The International Journal of Sustainable Development and World Ecology and Journal of Regional and Socio-Economic Issues. He has participated in a large number of development studies, evaluation and expertise reports and research projects.
